Purpose: The Heart of Every Beloved Brand
By Sarah Morrison, staff writer, Round Table Companies
This piece was based on an interview with Haley Rushing at the Conscious Capitalism Conference in Chicago in April of 2015.
One afternoon, Haley Rushing—who had ascended to a director-level strategist position in the ad agency world—was writing a report and stopped short when she felt water on her keyboard. She looked up, perplexed, thinking there was a leak in the ceiling. Then she understood.
“I was crying,” she says wryly. “I remember feeling totally unfulfilled and at odds with the work. I found myself in the position of having people, consumers, tell me what they needed and wanted and then developing brand platforms to capitalize on those insights in a way that was disconnected from the company. I realized that I didn’t want to be in the deception business—I wanted to use my talents to help the good guys win, not just sell more stuff.”

¿Por qué? ¿Para qué? Y una vez mas, ¿por qué? Y ¿para qué?
Con frecuencia preguntas tan incómodas como necesarias.
